Meet our most versatile yarn! The Merino wool that goes into this single-ply yarn has the micron equivalent of cashmere–can you believe? Fingering Singles take up dyes beautifully while retaining its soft sheen. It was designed to be made into garments, but we also love this yarn for shawls and hats. Hold single for a soft drapey fabric, hold double (or with Mohair!) and mix and match to experiment with color marling.

** Please note that your yarn will usually have a 2 week lead time. We dye through the month for each shop update, and will ship out as soon as everything in your order is ready.
** If you opt for Local Pick-up, we will coordinate a time with you when your order is ready. Because we are an operating dye studio, pick-up hours overlap with our operating hours, generally 11am - 5pm on weekdays.

All our yarn bases are custom milled for us in Peru and hand dyed in our studios in Brooklyn, NY. All bases are milled to the OEKO Tex standard 100. This yarn is intended for use in fiber crafts, that include knitting, crochet, weaving, garments and etc. It is not meant for consumption/ to eat. These are the most beautiful colors I have seen in the yarn world! They are so soft in color and texture, but with pops of brightness that I have not experienced anywhere else. I am so excited to make a Cinema sweater with this one, Holograph Dreams, and then a Nebula tee with Cosmic Tye Dye.
I’ve finally learned to knit after 7-8 times trying over a 30 year span, and Wandering Flock deserves some credit for that. I fell in love with the retired Mermaid Parade colorway and bought some of this Yollo to use as a supplement.
All of the WF yarns I’ve tried are a joy to look at and work with, and they’re so pleasant that I’m about halfway through with a sweater instead of frogging everything and giving up after a few rows like before.
